B i o g r a p h y
Baritone David Brian Clark's recent engagements have included a world premiere virtual production of Helen Martin: An American Moment with Steel City Opera (Pittsburgh) and a recital with Opera Carolina's iStream Digital Concert Series. David's vast performance experience includes roles in operas by Beethoven (Fidelio), Britten (The Rape of Lucretia), Mozart (Cosi fan tutte), Puccini (Gianni Schicchi, La fanciulla del west, La Boheme), and Verdi (La traviata, Macbeth, Falstaff).
A frequent concert performer, David has been heard in the works of Handel, Faure, Dubois, Rutter, Britten, Mendehlsson, Brahms and Dvorak in venues throughout North Carolina and New England with organizations such as North Carolina Baroque Orchestra, Winston-Salem Symphony, Newburyport Choral Society and Old North Festival Chorus.
A graduate of The Boston Conservatory, David is a three-time award winner in the Charlotte Opera Guild competition, a North Carolina and Mid-Atlantic Regional NATS winner, and was the recipient of the “Audience Choice Award” in the Rosen Schaffel Young Artist Competition during the Appalachian Summer Festival. David currently lives in Kansas City, MO where he is working towards his DMA in Voice Performance at The University of Missouri - Kansas City studying with renowned bartione, Weston Hurt.
